Kirsten Bryant Celebrates Father’s Day by Advocating for Her Dad
As a child, Kirsten Bryant, PhD, used to follow her dad around everywhere. One of his favorite pastimes was working in the yard, and Bryant would be seen pushing a toy wheelbarrow alongside her dad as he tended to their gardens in Womelsdorf, Conn. She would even take naps in the flowerbeds to be near him while he was gardening.

The Research RAScals (aka the Der Lab at UNC Lineberger & Friends) participated in this year’s PanCAN #PurpleStride run! Everyone had a blast at the race and Dr. Der came in 3rd place for his age group! The team, organized by Kirsten Bryant, raised $9,054 to support Pancreatic Cancer Research, coming in Second in overall fundraising!
