Channing Der (PhD, Molecular Therapeutics) in collaboration with David Reiner (PhD, Department of Pharmacology) published “Ral and Rheb GAPs integrate mTOR and GTPase signaling in aging, autophagy, and tumor cell invasion” in Molecular Cell. The study, led by graduate student Timothy Martin, outlines an unexpected connection between two signaling networks, the Ral small GTPases and the mTOR pathways, in regulating aging, autophagy and pancreatic cancer invasion. The study was chosen for the journal’s cover.
