Members of the Der Lab recently volunteered to cook dinner at SECU Family House in Chapel Hill.  SECU Family House is a safe, nurturing, affordable home for patients and their loved ones who travel great distances to UNC Hospitals for life-saving procedures and serious illnesses. They help people across North Carolina and beyond in times when they need rest and strength the most.

Family House relies on gifts, skills, and experiences of volunteers to keep the House running; one of the ways volunteers contribute is to cook meals for the guests. On January 20th members of the Der Lab cooked and shared a meal with Family House guests, see pictures below.  If you would like to learn more about volunteering to cook a meal at Family House you can find that here: http://www.secufamilyhouse.org/get-involved/prepare-a-meal.
