The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network‘s Raleigh Purple Stride 5K was a success with great weather and a large turnout at NC State Centennial Campus this past Saturday.
With 17 members, the Der lab team raised $12,045 and ranked second in fundraising, while our colleagues on Team UNC led the way raising $15,446, ranking #1 out of 114 teams!
Kirsten Bryant led the fundraising for our team with $10,660 and ranked #2 for individual fundraisers.
She was also #2 overall for women finishers in the race and place first in her age category. Channing was second in his age category in the 5K.
With the event reaching its goal of $200,000, it was an amazing event and we look forward to next’s year race!
